In over a decade, this Producer, Composer, Re-mixer and DJ has proven to be a new breed talent who is starting to generate a buzz wherever he goes. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina he developed his musical background and planted his roots in the industry at a very young age. He started producing House and Hard House records at age 16 while working with EMI, BMG and Poligram in his hometown. He then began filling dance floors at Bunker, Cinema, Cruz Penelope, El Alma, Ku, Line, and the infamous Pacha, following one of his most memorable residencies at Buenos Aires’s renowned club, The Hacienda, where he performed for close to 6,000 people every weekend. In 1995 he came to the U.S. in search for new musical horizons, and he has gone from playing at underground nightclubs in his hometown, to playing regularly for South Beach’s Bash, Liquid, Living Room, Lucky-13, KGB, and the legendary Groove Jet headed by DJ Luis Diaz. In 1999 he worked at Miami Beach’s renown The Mix after- hours mixing beside DJ David Padilla on several occasions. For almost two years, he held a weekly residency at Shadow Lounge on Saturday nights and now he can be found warming up the decks at the grand Level Nightclub alongside acclaimed DJ George Acosta, performing for close to 4,000 people every weekend. Internationally, crowds have enjoyed Baund’s performances on numerous occasions. During his early years in Argentina he made appearances at Punta Del Este, Uruguay also said to be the Ibiza of South America. Baund traveled to Colombia, in December 1999 where he performed in Bogota, Cartagena, and Barranquilla. Thousands cheered for more as he booked five parties in two weeks, one of which took place on a small island just off the coast of the historic city of Cartagena. Soon after, he performed in Ireland at U2’s premier nightclub, The Kitchen in Dublin, Blue Note and G.P.O. in Galway, and he has also acquired popularity in Boston, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Orlando, and Washington D.C. As well as numerous appearances in raves and festivals like Ultra II & III, IV, V and The Space Music Festival 2001. In addition, he has recorded at Sony & Strictly Rhythm Studio’s in New York. His record label, N.E.M. Records has played a major part in the production and sponsoring of Ultra Music Festival for WMC 2002.
