Kate doesn't have a great home life and he knows about it so Robbie takes Kate out for rides often. One night, they both die and come back possessed by a demon. As the demonic powers inside of them grow stronger, they try to fight it to find their way back to humanity. (Colored scenes are "flashbacks" bc I cannot color FDTD on its own, much less trying to match with another show.) Things get really bad as Kate gets completely overtaken by Amaru and Robbie starts to die because he's rejecting the Rider. Eventually, Robbie accepts the Rider in exchange for saving Kate/banishing Amaru. Kate's super upset he did that because of her, but he's learning to live with it. TRANSCRIPTS/more detailed storyline (I should just write a fic tbh): (After they wake up from the crash/followed by flashback of their possessions.) -I made a whole lot of bad decisions that night. -I know. -Like bringing you along. (Kate goes to visit him at his shop and he tries to scare her off.) -You get lost, or I'll get angry. -I'm not scared of you. (Flash forward to them dealing with the possession stuff, they meet up again to talk about it.) -I've been stabbed, shot. Twice. -It's not funny. (Amaru shows up BIG TIME and Robbie/Rider sees her/they fight.) -I can tell you what's next. -You've got the devil inside you too. (Kate tries to ignore her possession and wants to help Robbie do the same but their possessions are not at all the same.) -People like you... -You want to save my soul? I'm telling you, girl, I sold mine. (Kate and Robbie both struggle to come to terms and Kate can't control Amaru anymore; Ghostrider looks into her soul and sees that she's still pure.) -I can't do this anymore, I can't hold-- Please! (Robbie drives Kate home after the ordeal, and he tells her about how he saw the first time they met when he looked into her soul and they smile like little babies.) -I didn't get to see into your soul, you saw into mine. -It's Kate. -You wanna come? (Robbie is fighting the Rider, and he realizes that he's slowly dying because of it.) -I'm freezing. I'm dying here. (Kate thinks that she is fighting Amaru fine, and while Robbie wants to leave, thinking that being close is making the demons in them fight, she tells him that love is stronger than any evil.) -True love is, loving the unlovable. -That girl is long gone. (She tells him this just before she gets fully taken over by Amaru.) (Amaru is a BITCH and tries to sway Robbie, who is still fighting the Rider, into full possession by saying Kate hates him.) -You feel all that hate around you? That's not me, that's HER. -What have you done? -Do you feel it? Do you feel it? -I'm running out of time. (Robbie's dying and Amaru's manipulation strikes up the Rider's control of Robbie and he and Amaru are at constant odds with each other even though Amaru is smitten with him and wants to both destroy him and destroy the world with him.) -Oh, come a bit closer, I want to taste your soul. (Near the end, Robbie comes back just enough for Amaru to feel him.) -You lied. You do have a soul. (Robbie then frees Kate from Amaru by accepting the Rider and destroying Amaru.) (Kate destroys her family photo at home bc it's her family's fault she spent so much time with Robbie and the events that unfolded with them together are a lot of guilt that she can't stand.) (Now KATE and not Amaru, Robbie visits her. She's surprised to see him:) -Robbie? (And then she tells him how sorry she is.) -You're different. You...you tried to help me. You DIED trying to help me. (Robbie tells her that he's come to terms with the Rider and it's fine to try to make her feel less guilty.) -But, I'm here now.
