@davidhayes48147 years agoThe L2 H2 is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have a silver one with blacked out windows, fitted out as a camper. It has 1.9m standing height and is brilliant in town. You don't get boxed in and it steers very precisely. You sit up high, in big comfy seats with masses of room. On the motorway, you are a couple of feet above the lorry spray and you don't get dazzled by lights. My partner bought a Golf mark 7 GTI, which is lovely, fast and stylish..... just not relaxing especially in town. Vans are fab. They make you like people all over again and I am old. ...

@m.r.6598 years agoGreat channel, and open for all types of vehicles not only expensive toys like other reviewers, and hopefully will stay this way. Reminding me "Motorvison" on rtl or sat1 from my teenage years. Would like to see a bit more Japanese cars and thank You for recent Subaru presentation. All the best in the future. ...

@stephen10.8 years agowe would prefer the review of a camping car (motor home) instead of this empty van. May be one day ? i m sure Thomas would do a great job in this recreational , leisure segment. 6
@
@Passion4Classics7 years agoGood review Thomas! I've bought the Citroën jumper (relay) and it will be converted to a salestruck / foodtruck. It is the only van on the eu market (together with fiat ducato) that is suited for this kind of conversion because you can specify it with a reinforced chassis and reinforced braking system. Maybe the Mercedes sprinter is suitable but it costs far more. ...1

@Blogtrommel8 years agoVery nice review! Disabled people (like me) are often interested in such a vehicules, as they need the space in the loading area in order to fixate the wheelchair. I stay seated in the wheelchair during transport. We use the passenger version ofcourse... ...
@
@nothingnamezero8 years agoThe front button on the left front seat is to give the seat an angle backwards, but on this one its impossible because theres the separation wall behind it. (It works when the car is used as a camper or something with an open space.) ...1

@radu_c8 years agoAwsome review as allways :D while we are still waiting for the new 5 series, it would be cool if you can grab a i8 and do a review.
@
@Joke99727 years agoWhat is very important in these vehicles are the brakes and brake wear. The weight those are pulling, has to be stopped again, and this used to be a big issue with those particular vehicles.

@americanrambler49725 years agoAfter watching you drive the van and listing to the diesel, and hearing your fuel economy quote, I am glad the US Ram Promaster version gets the 3.6 L petrol/gas V6 with the 6 speed fully automatic transmission with a lockup torque converter instead of the automated manual supplied with the diesel. The responsiveness is much better and the fuel consumption is pretty close to your results. The sound is much better and it really scoots for a big van. Plus we do not have to purchase the diesel exhaust fluid for emissions. The diesel version has basically failed in the US market. Virtually all sales are for the gas version. It’s much more expensive than the gas engine. It would take a very long time to recover the cost in fuel savings. And the diesel costs quite a bit more to maintain and repair. I do prefer your hood and headlights verses the older style we get. We do not get the H3 roof that is available for your buyers. We just get the H1 and H2. We do get the 270 degree rap around rear doors standard. We do not get your optional automated climate control. We just get the manual system. We also get the roof clearance lights front and rear because US regulations require them on vehicles over 80 inches wide. ...

@gordonbennett60578 years agoVery entertaining Review, Many Thanks Thomas. I like the driving views forward, out through the windscreen. But I couldn't see how the Side Assist worked! @mwahid29526 years agoIn less than 1 year my new Peugeot Boxer L2H2 van had a leaking windscreen X 2, new headlamps X 2, last week the remote central locking failed, the brakes a very squeaky, the sat nav has a mind of its own, leaking oil filter, various messages on the dash, I would definitely NOT buy another, nor would I recommend to anyone. @americanrambler49726 years agoInteresting review. Observing the differences between the Boxer, Jumper, Ducato and the Ram Promaster. While similar in look and layout, there are some notable differences. The Boxer has 15 inch tires vs the Promaster 16 Inchers. The rear suspension looks to be about 2inches lower in ride height. The Promaster gets the 270 degree opening rear doors standard, the Boxer does not. The door cards look more heavy duty on the Promaster and have more storage capacity. The climate controls are totally different. And the Boxer is SLOW! That is a runty diesel, and it does not have that much better fuel economy than the 285 horse 3.6 liter pentastar gas v6. I definetly like the hood and headlight treatment on the boxer over the Promaster. ...
