Mining Ethereum for beginners, Noob miner tries to setup gaming desktop for mining - fixing and solving Norton Firewall issues. In this video I will try to setup my old GTX 1060 gaming desktop computer running Windows 10 to do some mining of Ethereum cryptocurrency. So, as I understand it, all you need to start mining is * A GPU, in my case a GTX 1060 * A cryptowallet - I will use metamask.io * A crypto mining software, I will use phoenixminer * A crypto mining pool, I will use https://ethermine.org/ So, take a look at this video to see me setting up and getting started as a beginner mining Ethereum in less than 20 minutes....or how long did it actually take me? :) Disclaimer: I do not know anything (yet) about cryptocurrency so this video is just a documentation of me setting up a simple and basic mining computer running Windows 10. I will also solve some issues and problems that I and probably you might get when it comes to mining software (Phoenixminer) and Firewall software, such as Norton 360. For example you will need to allow the EXE file phoenixminer.exe to run on your computer, otherwise it will be deleted. You will also need to allow some known "intrusion signatures" to access you computer. In my case it was, for example: "Miner.Bitcoinminer Activity 17".
