One at a time, tribe members must run over floating balance beams, grab a flag, and return to their start. There is an Attack Zone in the middle of the course for physical contact, but both players must be within the zone before contact occurs. The first tribe to retrieve 20 flags wins. I've Been Bamboozled! is the fifth episode of Survivor: All-Stars. Challenge: Pilfering Pirates Winner: Chapera Day 15 During the Immunity Challenge, it is neck and neck between Chapera and Mogo Mogo, during which Richard gets naked and rubs up against Susan. Strategy comes in when all of Chapera jumps off so that Rob M. can run the course because he does best at balance. Chapera ends up winning, and Mogo Mogo has to vote someone out. Heading back, Chapera celebrates their victory and Susan admits that she wants Richard to be voted out for what he did to her. At Mogo Mogo, Colby Donaldson talks to Ethan in the woods, and proposes Richard's blindside. Colby tells Ethan that Richard thinks that Ethan is going, but that he will save him if he votes for Richard. Ethan accepts the offer, because that way, he at least gets a 50-50 shot. Colby then talks to Lex van den Berghe about it, and he agrees, so they have three people of seven in the deal. Colby then approaches his old The Australian Outback rival Jerri to get the needed fourth vote to get rid of Richard. However, she feels that it does not make sense to do that, as Colby "screwed her over" last time they played together. Lex then approaches Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien and Shii Ann Huang for the same topic, but they are unsure, as they expect that Ethan will be going home. Jerri wants to side with Richard and tries to get the other girls' approval, but Kathy and Shii Ann are still conflicted. She then tells Richard about the deal to vote him out and he surmises that the only way that could happen was Colby, Ethan, and Lex working together. In a confessional, Richard explains his counter strategy: form an alliance with the girls to vote out the three guys plotting his doom. Jerri then tells Richard that he has her vote 100% if Colby goes first, to which Richard agrees, and Kathy finds herself in the middle. At Tribal Council, Colby, Ethan, and Lex vote for Richard, and Richard votes for Colby. Jerri, Kathy, and Shii Ann ultimately side with the guys, and Richard is voted out 6-1, but not before yelling "I've been bamboozled!", much to the amusement of his tribemates and Jeff. After Jeff snuffs his torch, Richard dances as he leaves. https://survivor.fandom.com/wiki/Pilfering_Pirates Pilfering Pirates is a physical challenge in Survivor. The challenge debuted in Survivor: Thailand, where it became the first challenge to allow physical contact between competitors, as well as the first time a contestant was disqualified from a challenge. The challenge reappeared in Survivor: All-Stars. Rules A narrow series of bamboo walkways connect four boats, two for each tribe. The tribes race to steal items from the opposing tribe's boats, with the first tribe to steal a given number of items winning the challenge. In a specified "attack zone" in the center of the course, contestants are permitted to physically engage their opponents and push them off the course. History The challenge was first used in Survivor: Thailand for reward. During the course of the challenge, Ken Stafford, Robb Zbacnik, Stephanie Dill and Jed Hildebrand became the first contestants to be disqualified from a challenge for engaging their opponents outside of the designated "attack zone", much to the ire of Jeff Probst. As a penalty for breaking the rules, one of Sook Jai's items would be transferred to the other tribe, giving Chuay Gahn an advantage that enabled them to win the challenge, and 24 hours with two Thai Red Berets. In Survivor: All-Stars, the challenge was the first immunity following the dissolution of the Saboga tribe. During the challenge, Richard Hatch (competing nude) rubbed himself up against Susan Hawk, an event that later led to Susan quitting the game. Ultimately, Chapera won the challenge, sending Mogo Mogo to Tribal Council. Trivia This is the first challenge in...
