Coptic Archive (2011): The 2011 Alexandria bombing was an attack on Coptic Christians in Alexandria, Egypt, on Saturday, 1 January 2011. 23 people died as a result of the attack and over 100 were injured. Carried out by the Gaza-based Army of Islam, this is not the only example of conflict between Muslims and Christians in the country. We offer two reports that get inside the New Year bombing and the protracted history of persecution and violence between Muslims and Copts in Egypt. @rabbizidni3ilmanمنذ 12 سنوات I read the Gospel, and I only read What Jesus peace be upon him had said. In the light of the Quran, it is literally the same lessons we're taught id="hidden2" class="buttons"> as muslims. The message is one and the message is clear. Be Good, Do Good, Believe in God, life after death and the Judgement day. Its not the religion that's at fault. Its the people. Just as there's nominal christians, there are nominal muslims. Identifying them is like a needle in a hay stack. They can be recognised as only by doing evil. ....وسعت 4

@doc7474منذ 13 سنوات I wish the documentary would have gone into detail about how the Coptic/Muslim relationship spiraled out of control. I've heard elsewhere that in the id="hidden4" class="buttons"> 80s and 90s radical Islam started to get out of control, I'm not sure if that's the case though. What is the most amazing part about this story was the fact that the one Coptic man whose son was killed by Muslims said he did not hate Muslims. I think it's immeasurably important that people of different beliefs defend/respect other's faith. ....وسعت 3

@omachkarمنذ 13 سنوات This is really and excellent video. It portrays the true picture of what happens when you give freedom to Muslim fundamentalists and treats them like regular id="hidden6" class="buttons"> people. This ugly picture would have never happened during Nasser’s era when fundamental ideologies were not tolerated. Muslim Fundamentalists should be eradicated from any society if progress and peace are part of its agenda. ....وسعت 1

@MsAmazighgirlمنذ 13 سنوات whenever i read muslim comments they often are full of hate, calling Christians dogs, and swearing. But I have never once seen on you tube, or heard a id="hidden7" class="buttons"> coptic call a muslim a dog, or any disrespectful thing. @remenkimi1منذ 13 سنوات For those who keep praising Gamal Abd El Nasser, please read your own history: Nasser was a member of the most vicious branch of the Muslim Brothers [Tanzim id="hidden8" class="buttons"> Serry]. He joined in 1942 and " allegedly" fell out with them in 1954. Nasser introduced Islamic Politics to Egypt. I can offer you a long reading list, but may be this is easier to check here on utube لإسلاميون - الإخوان المسلمون والثورة ....وسعت 2

@remenkimi1منذ 13 سنوات @havee3333333 Although I agree with you that sooner or later, the Copts will have their independent state ( give 200 years), it should not be under the protection of any other nation, country or state.

  • @
@remenkimi1منذ 13 سنوات @havee3333333 Sure, but I hope by then the Copts would have learned the painful lesson[s] from history and do not repeat the same mistake of the 1890s and reject any foreign help.

@landesalمنذ 13 سنوات @omachkar that is actually going to fuel more hate and will have an aggressive backlash from the islamic radicals. these kind of clashes also happened id="hidden14" class="buttons"> during mubarak and sadat's reign. the government cant do everything, Egyptians themselves have to stand up and face these problems.
