This is a review of the Norland axe from Arms and Armour. This axe performs well as a camp axe in its sharpened state, and with minimal work it can be a quite decent Combat axe. Its selling points are that it has a temper to hold an edge, so it will stand up well to wear and resist chipping. It also comes with a bottom mounted haft which makes it far safer ( knowing the head can't fly off). The detractors to this axe are that it comes covered in black paint, and has a pretty hefty price tag at 75 dollars. ( though not as expensive as something like a gransfors bruks, but they also don't come with black paint coated on the blade) http://armor.com/pole213.html http://kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=AA213
