TRIP REPORT | EMPTY Scoot 787-8 | Berlin Brandenburg to Athens | Empty Flight | Economy Class (2021)

Scoot 787 Trip Report: A new routing due to lower demand enabled me to try out Scoot Airlines - a budget airline from Singapore. The flight from Berlin Brandenburg BER to Athens ATH is a 2,5 hour long "fifth freedom" flight (meaning the airline is allowed to take passengers from BER to ATH, you don't have to go all the way to Singapore). As expected the demand for the new service was very low. Also my expectations about this budget airline wasn't that high. In the end they surpassed my expectations. The leg room was good, the seat was clean and the service was welcoming. Only things they should improve to ever get me flying Scoot on a longer flight is the meal sizes and seat padding + adding a headrest.
