Master Your Triads - Putting Licks Between Triads - Learning triads is one of the big things I like to teach. I know that it helps you learn your chords as well as your fretboard. You don't want to just memorize the the shapes of major and minor triads. You have to also learn the names of each note in the chord. A triad is Root 3rd 5th. The 3rd is wha determines if a chord is major or minor.
