Chingri macher malai curry is a famous Bengali recipe ..

Ingredients :
Prawn - 4 pc / 450 gm approx
Onion paste - 2 medium size
Garlic , ginger & green chilli paste - 1 tbsp
Tomato paste - 1 large
Coconut milk - 200 ml / 1/2 coconut
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Bay leaves - 2
Cinnamon stick - 1
Cloves - 2
Cardamom - 2
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Mustard oil - 5 tbsp
Methods :
1. Marinate the prown with 1/2 tsp salt & 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2. Keep it for 10 minutes
3. Turn on the flame, heat a pan.
4. Add mustard oil..
Add prown on it.
5. Fry it for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame
6. Take it out on a plate
7. Keep it aside
8. Add oil again
9. Once the oil is heated add whole spices , stir it for a few seconds
10. Add onion paste, stir it for 1 minute
11. Add ginger, garlic and chilli paste , stir it again
12. Add cumin powder and turmeric powder
13. Add tomato paste , cook it for 2 minutes on medium flame
14. Add salt , sugar mix it
15. Add prowns and mix it with the gravy
16. Add coconut milk and stir it
17. Cover it for 5 minutes .. cook it on low flame
18. Open the lid , add garam masala powder
And coriander leaves.
Mix it properly.
19. Cover the lid , turn off the flame and leave it for 5 minutes
Chingri macher malai curry is ready.
Serve it with rice or pulao..
