Wisdom Wednesday with Tasia Valenza

#WisdomWednesday  ✨Who is better than you…Nobody! It's simple, but if you really think about it, it's all about perception. Who we admire and elevate are based on our values and interests. When I meet a superstar athlete who my son might idolize, or a Tik Tok influencer that my daughter is ga ga over, I might not even know who they are as an influencer, just as a human. When a fan meets me, and I can tell they are intimidated, I appreciate their praise and I remind myself as they say "not to believe my own publicity.” 😉 We are all unique, beautiful, one-of-a-kind individuals, and as we elevate our idols we often diminish ourselves in the process. Our egos define our worth and in today’s social media driven world, we are always being judged by how “likable” we are. I long to meet my inspiration @Oprah again and express my gratitude for all that she’s given me and the world. I have to remind myself that, when I have the gift of meeting her again, I will be thrilled and joyous, but not intimidated. 🤩You are amazing Oprah, and I am amazing! And YOU (yes, you) are amazing!!! And no-one is “better" than you. Value your one of kind qualities and remember that we are all on our own journeys, sharing in this wonderful challenging human experience!
