Intaglio Printmaking Process + Clean up

A very educational demo on how to do the intaglio printmaking technique. Items needed: -plexiglass of you size preference -grayscale printed image (to scale of plexiglass) of design you will be tracing. If free handing then not needed. -cheesecloth -lots of newspapers -canola oil, but any oil works fine -needle to scratch surface -watercolor paper that will allow for an all around inch border of the plexiglass -spray bottle or sponge -intaglio printing ink -plastic spatula (don’t want metal ones it’ll scratch surface) -Printing press To add title to piece: You must start on the bottom left corner of the print within half on inch not touching the end of the paper. You put the number of print out of how many you printed ex: 1/10. In the middle you place the title and at the bottom right your first and last name followed by the year. None of the information should float outside of the picture plane. Everything should align directly under the print as to keep a clean paper boarder.
