You read that right. We have two mortgages. And I'm talking about why in this video. We are living life on a budget, paying down debt, cash-flowing life, and saving for retirement all at once...just like many of you. Our biggest challenge is that we didn't START working on ANY of those long-term financial goals until we were in our mid-forties! So that means we are fighting all of these financial battles simultaneously. We became accidental landlords when we bought our current home. And after crunching the numbers and many, many conversations, we have decided to incorporate our first house into our long-term financial strategy. This is not a popular choice, and we get that.
