Knight and Day is one of those films that I watched and exceeded my expectation. Its no surprised since action comedy is my favorite movie genre so that also helped with editing Knight and Day 2 dream trailer. As you may imagine it was a blast. Despite the lack of Tom Cruise new movie I was able to find clips of him from talk show skits from James Corden and Conan. I’m aware that this film had a reputation for being a flop. But that didn’t stop me for making a sequel concept trailer because I think it is deserving. One thing I learned from dual main character franchise is that their chemistry is what made it successful. That works the same way with dream trailers so I made sure to show June Havens and Roy Miller chemistry played by Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise as much as possible. The challenge however is that they don’t have a lot of new clips together. So I simply made the trailer begin with the last scene of the movie which kicks off the trailer well. To bring some fresh scenes for the beginning I used a drone shot of a beach in Massachusetts's since this is the last beach we saw the two based on the license plate of the car they were in. The villain I chose for the dream trailer is Gal Gadot. Many may not remember but she was in the movie. Based on her performance in RED NOTICE as the villain, she would be the best choice. “My husband” line from Cameron I made to be about Tom Cruise’s character. The best fresh clip was the behind the scene clip of Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise doing some sparring. Overall the trailer was great!
