Cape/Common Wolf Snake (Lycophidion capense) | Herping South Africa During our search for the elusive Albany adder, we came across this amazing species. Although quite commonly found, this was a first-time encounter for me, which made this trip just so much more amazing. The Common/Cape wolf snake is quite difficult to distinguish from the extremely venomous stiletto snake, so it is best to leave these snakes alone when crossing paths.
