MUSCAT: The Muscat Municipality on Friday announced the complete closure of the Central Vegetables and Fruits market in Mawelah from Saturday until further notice. This decision is in line with the decisions of the Supreme Committee on Covid-19 to stop all types of gatherings in public places. Oman on Friday confirmed 770 new coronavirus cases, taking the total tally to 15,086. SalamAir’s first charter flight carrying 180 stranded passengers takes-off to India KMCC repatriated 180 stranded passengers from Muscat in SalamAir’s charter flight to Calicut today. MUSCAT: Salam Air’s first charter flight to India took-off today at 8am, carrying 180 stranded passengers on-board. The repatriation flight chartered by KMCC included 61 patients, 17 infants, 24 pregnant women, and 24 people whose visa was expired based on the Indian embassy registrations. It is worth noting that despite being a charter flight, KMCC had kept a minimum flight charge of OMR 75 per passenger. All the chartering facilities was done by Alhind Travel and Tours. Meanwhile, the second charter flight, by Indigo, will carry 180 Indians to Kozhikode from Muscat International Airport at 10 am on Saturday.
