@
@EverettBurger4 years agoOur classroom has a good sized garden adjacent to our school. I planted a series of corn over the past month; I planted pumpkins a few weeks ago; I also planted gourds yesterday. Since we don't know when students will be allowed back at school in the fall, I chose those three plants (pumpkins, corn, and squash) because the fruit can stay on the plant without spoiling for a remarkable amount of time. Therefore, if kids are not allowed back to school until September, October, or November, we will still have some harvest for them and decorations for our classroom. After watching this video, I think I'll plant some more corn tomorrow. The soil is warm and we have time. ...11

@cheriatkins27754 years agoI love your enthusiasm‼️😁 We built a house which turn out to be a farm with 7 acres of land. He is from Tennessee and grew up in the country. I am from CO and consider myself as a city girl. The soil is terrible and for the past four years I have started to grow things in containers. I have to water with well water, so far everything I have planted are still doing okay. Plus my husband built me 3 large raised garden, so this is my trail period to see what works and what doesn’t work. I also have things growing with Hydroponic water and plant food without using soil. I have a indoor and outdoor system growing lettuce, Basil, Tomatoes, Mint, and so many more seed pods. By far I like the Hydroponic system better. I am determine to make the container and raised gardens work and try to master them all. Look forward for any suggestions you may have. ...
