Drass 3200m is the second coldest inhabited location in the world. During the winter months the region is cut off as the Zoji La receives, in some years, over 50 feet of snow. In the summer the situation changes dramatically. The snow starts to melt, flowers are blooming and the Brown Bears which inhabit the region in large number pull out after a long period of hibernation. The Brown Bear Trail offers an insight into one of India’s most beautiful Himalayan region.
