World's largest 3D wave breaks over Seoul's Gangnam District every half hour on the 80-metres (262ft) wide by 20-metre (66ft) tall screen. The 3D wave crashes for about one minute each 1/2 hour, looking as if it could spill out of the screen onto pedestrians. The huge wave has appeared on the SMTown Starfield COEX building with the billboard in Seoul's Gangnam business district. The billboard was initially developed by Samsung and is made up of around 31,000 SMART LEDs and covers a total area of 17,437 square feet. The realistic simulation called 'WAVE' was designed by d'strict in four months, a firm whose specialty is using immersive technology to create public art.
