Daytime napping may slow brain shrinkage and contribute to brain health. Analyzing data from individuals aged 40 to 69, the study found a link between regular napping and larger brain volume, which is associated with a lower risk of dementia. The research suggests that short daytime naps could be beneficial for brain health as people age. While napping has been shown to improve cognitive function, this study aimed to establish a causal relationship between napping and brain health. The findings emphasize the potential benefits of regular napping.
