NORAD performs Arctic training operation amid war in Ukraine

As Russia invades Ukraine, Canadian troops are set to participate in routine NORAD training in the Arctic. Canadians are taking part in half a dozen different planned exercises in the north. That includes "Noble Defender" this week; NORAD's arctic air defence operation, with 250 Canadians and 100 Americans. In addition to those exercises, Canada's Defence Minister Anita Anand is also planning a visit to the Arctic in the coming months, focused on security.
