Losing Signal

The failsafe on my quad is set to cut the motors as I don't want it flying away or hurting anyone nearby if the reciever has any issues. We have a large farm and I wanted to be able to fly all around it. I brought a booster and wanted to test it. I drove the quad out to about 1.8km and took off and flew around with good signal. I wouldn't mind getting some more antenna diversity as it drops drastically at long range if the antennas aren't aligned perfectly. Anyway, the range test was good and my mate Pebo was flying over to come have a look. I sent the quad up to chase him around except I think my shoulder started to block part of the signal and it cut out resulting in this video. The frame is a QAV-RXL and it's incredibly strong! It fell half the height last time for the same reason and didn't have a mark on it. This time it snapped through the base plate all around where the arms attach. Everything else is fine.
