Get Surfshark VPN at https://Surfshark.com/sam and enter promo code SAM to get 83% off and 3 months for free! Passenger numbers are rising this summer. It is great to see so many flights getting back into the skies! But in the Middle East, the market dynamic has been very different among the ME3 carriers which are Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad. The competition has always been fierce in the Middle East; the Persian Gulf carriers rely heavily on connecting heavily, their model is built by carrying passengers between the East and West. There are a few things that are really against the ME3 carriers. In the video, the aviation analyst explains the problem these carriers face. The video gives the latest update and analysis from Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad. Etihad will be introducing the A350-1000 into their fleet shortly. At the end of the video, I talk about how I think one airline will do very well out of the current environment. This is Turkish Airlines. Check out the reasons behind my call on Turkish Airlines. @thaibillyboyمنذ 3 سنوات I have to say having flown over 100 long haul flights with Qatar and having problems sometimes like the Iceland volcano ash and stranded again in Bangkok id="hidden2" class="buttons"> twice Qatar never failed me they always got me home as quickly and conveniently as possible and never a mention of any extra cost, without a doubt Qatar will be getting me back as a customer again when we get back to some normality. ....وسعت 120

@RB-rp6udمنذ 3 سنوات I salute a company, one such is Turkish Airlines, who did not lay off staff but renegotiated the salary collectively for the greater good of the airline. id="hidden5" class="buttons"> As for Qatar, you flew when others did not want. This humanitarian effort will never be forgotten & passengers will remember this well way into the future. ....وسعت 3

@Agent44996منذ 3 سنوات Yes this is a very interesting topic. I have always viewed Etihad as a hub carrier, and I always will. It's very sad what's happening at Etihad, id="hidden6" class="buttons"> but who knows, maybe after the pandemic international travel will boom due to people's thirst to travel again. And maybe that will benefit Etihad and allow them to grow again, and they would have the ground resources for that with the new terminal. It would just be a matter of having the right planes. But for now, it looks like Qatar is leading and Emirates is not far behind. Btw, loved that fast motion montage at the end! ....وسعت 10

@renaudfensterمنذ 3 سنوات There is a catch with the term layoffs. Many airlines did layoff and others incentivized early departures, retirements, and voluntary separation. @davidespingel1223منذ 3 سنوات Qatar Airlines is probably the best in terms of consistency in product and service amongst the Gulf carriers. Smart and very agile carrier. Turkish has id="hidden17" class="buttons"> a very big network but product and service are not consistent. Turkish also benefits from the fact that people flying from North America to Europe don’t mind transiting in Turkey as its not to far East like UAE or DOH. Emirates is arrogant due to its fleet size, revenue and most importantly its revenue in Premium cabins. Emirates also has a strong hold on ME to ME traffic which is high yielding. They also own FlyDubai. Etihad is so badly managed, but due to the vast amount of money of the UAE government its failures are just swept under the carpet. ....وسعت 1

@MrAsH412منذ 3 سنوات Covid has basically accelerated the demise of hub and spoke. I would say among the 3, Emirates probably went all in with this method with their A380 and id="hidden18" class="buttons"> huge planes and stands the most to lose. Qatar is the most well balanced. Etihad is just an Abu Dhabi vanity project so they are not in the race.
The airlines that masters point to point efficiently will win the next couple of decades.

@arysetiadi6344منذ 3 سنوات Having a first class is a bad idea in this era. because the difference between First and Business now are pratically thin. @yvr2002rtwمنذ 3 سنوات Emirates has alienated a whole bunch of travel agents (including major ones like AMEX Travel) and lost a bunch of potential bookings. They ended their id="hidden23" class="buttons"> agreement with Sabre at the end of June.
