@krisrolph10583 years ago This good news on so many levels. Nuge took a 1m aav pay cut locked on an 8 year term with a nmc. That allows Holland extra cap to find some more depth, it tells up that the locker room is in a good mindset, and it shows belief that the players are truly after the cup. RNH is the connector piece in the team that allows our other pieces to work with another. He can fill multiple roles, plays a solid 2-way game, and it seems like he is the heart of the team. I'm so happy we got him resigned, and mind blown at the aav and length.
I hope that when he retires, Edm retires #93, since he will be our first player to be drafted (1st OA btw) and finish his career with us. ... 14

If you want to know how it feels to win in Edmonton you have to go back before RNH was born. Unless you're one of those Oilers fans that fawn over individual awards. Keep playing McDavid and Draisaitl 25+ minutes a night and see how far you get when the playoffs start. Brooms all around for whoever they play. ... 3
