Olive oil garlic pasta
1 lb linguine
1/4 cup olive oil (more for garnish)
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
6 cloves garlic diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lemon
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Cook the pasta in salted water to al dente, reserve 1 cup pasta water
In a skillet add the butter and olive oil and heat over medium heat and add the garlic. (And red pepper flakes I’d using) Cook 30 seconds to 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant.
Add 1/2 cup pasta water to stop the garlic from cooking. Salt and pepper to taste and add the lemon juice
Add the linguine and toss it in the oil sauce, add the parsley and more olive oil if desired
