Visit us at http://bit.ly/yt-beyondpolish Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/beyondpolish/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/beyondpolish/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/beyond_polish/ DIY Color French Tips Tutorial What You'll Need: - 2 gel polishes of your choice (colors used in video: OPI GelColor Tiramisu For Two & DND Gel Summer Sun) - gel top coat (top coat used in video: CND Shellac Top Coat) - gel base coat (base coat used in video: CND Shellac Base Coat) - nail file - buffing block - cotton pad - acetone - small brush - cuticle nipper - cuticle oil (cuticle oil used in video: NCLA So Rich Cuticle Treatment Mermaid Tears) - LED/UV lamp STEPS: 1) Prep your nails by filing to your desired shape using a nail file. 2) Gently buff the edges and nail bed to create a smooth surface. 3) OPTIONAL: Trim your cuticles using a nipper. 4) Use a cotton pad and some acetone to remove any oil and dirt from the nail. 5) Apply a thin layer of your gel base coat. Use long strokes to paint and try to get as close to your cuticles without touching them. Cure in a LED/UV lamp for 60 seconds. 6) Apply a thin layer of your base color. Use long strokes and try to get as close to the cuticles as possible without touching them. Cure for 60 seconds. 7) Apply a second coat, focusing on covering all areas. Cure for 60 seconds. 8) Apply the second color (for the French Tip). Start with a small amount of polish on the brush. Tip your thumb and start at the edge. Carefully paint a thin line at the edge of the nail. 9) If you need to clean any areas of the nail, now's the time to do it. Grab your brush and some acetone and clean the lines. Cure for 60 seconds. 10) Apply a second coat, focusing on perfecting the shape this time. Cure for 60 seconds. 11) Apply a thin layer of your gel top coat. Again, avoid touching the cuticles. Cure for 60 seconds. 12) Using another cotton pad and some acetone, wipe the excess film from the nail.
