I’m also giving away an Aurora A5 so if you are interested you can stick around until the end of the video to learn more. The first thing that stands out is the luminous body. The Aurora A5 will glow green after the lights has been used or if it’s hit with another source of light like the sun, a lamp or another flashlight. Not only does this look really cool but it also makes finding this light in the dark much easier. If you attach it to your keychain you can find that easier as well. The most impressive feature of the Aurora A5 is it’s 550 lumen output and 80 meter through on high mode. This is by far the brightest micro sized keychain flashlight I have ever tested. Prior to owning the A5 I was carrying the Jetbeam Mini-1 which is another micro size keychain flashlight with a max output of 130 lumens. When you turn it on the brightness will remind you more of a full sized flashlight running on an 18650 like the Fenix PD35 or the Nitecore TN12. It also has a medium mode with 230 lumens and a low mode with 15 lumens. Another awesome feature of this light is the side LEDs. The Aurora A5 comes with a strip of three LEDs on the side which have long run times and are very convenient for tasks that don’t require a lot of light. The White LEDs produce 4 lumens and have a runtime of 10 hours and the RED LED produces about 0.8 lumens and has a runtime of about 14 hours. The White light is perfect for reading and the Red light can save your night vision. There’s also a version of the Aurora A5 that comes with a UV light instead of a red light. Switching between the different lighting options is easy. If you want to activate the high mode, all you need to do is hold the button down for a second and it will turn on as long as you hold the button down. If you click the button twice, it will activate low mode, click it again to go to medium, and 1 more time for high. If you click the button three times, it will activate the side LEDs. The first mode is the two white LEDs, the second is the single red LED, and the third is the red strobe mode. To turn the light off, just hold down the button for a second. The Aurora A5 is USB rechargeable. All you have to do is pull the tab on the micro USB cover and plug it in. The light fully charges in about 45 minutes. There’s a red indicator light which means it’s charging and when it’s blue, its fully charged. The light also comes with a handy little clip which you can use to attach the light in various places for hands free use. It also comes with a lanyard and a USB charging cable. It’s also impact resistant up to 1.5 meters and IP65 water resistant. Overall my experience with this light has been incredibly positive. This light is packed with features, easy to use and fun to show off to your friends. I use this light every day and am glad to have it as part of my EDC.
