How To Tailor A Dress Shirt (PRO TUTORIAL)

I'm going to show you how you can tailor all of your baggy dress shirts at home. By the end of this video series you're honestly gonna be sort of mad that you never thought about doing this before. It's actually super easy to do. Tailoring my clothes has been one of the smartest things I've ever done and it changes how you feel and the vibe you give off to everyone around you. For this step we need to measure our shirt. This is considered the "hard" part but it's actually super easy. All we need is a measuring tape and some sewing pins. If you don't have pins then you can substitute chalk or anything else that will make a washable mark on your shirt. Measure your shirt and see how long that side seam is. Mines 16 inches. Then I put pins in every 4 inches. Then I take those pins and move them around into the positions that will give my shirt a nice v taper to it. This part is the part that's totally up to you, the sky is the limit as far as where you put those pins. Those pins allow you to do whatever shape you want with that shirt, they're incredibly versatile. Once you have your pins in it's time to sew it, and the "hard"part is done! One thing I like to do is to actually write my measurements down so that next time I want to tailor a shirt that's of a similar size I can just jump into it without measuring it.
