5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

@gisellekorcz8631منذ 3 سنوات You defined the “desolating sickness is when people profane something holy and make it common.” When the Prophet said to go to the temple (there were changes), everybody came to see “the dog and pony show.” I was so disappointed when I noticed the Saints stopped coming to the Temple after they had seen the new changes. That made the Temple experience common. It broke my heart! ....وسعت 3

This is the law of sanctification we id="hidden9" class="buttons"> promised to follow in our covenants. That daily sacrifice was taken from us for a time, fulfilling that sign in my belief. We are close. We are entering the tribulations prophecied of in the scriptures I believe. ....وسعت 7

@jenniferwall7754منذ 3 سنوات Thank you SO MUCH for clarifying President Hinckley’s announcement about Joel’s prophesy being fulfilled! When President Hinckley said that, I thought I had just missed one of the biggest, most obvious, signs ever. You know. A physical sign that the gathering had begun in earnest. Thanks for helping me get it. Joel meant this prophecy to be more like a figure of speech, words prophets use to announce that the second coming is on the way. ....وسعت 6

"Fortunately, the current generation has not had a Third World War to fight, nor have id="hidden11" class="buttons"> we experienced a global economic crash like the one in 1929 leading to a Great Depression. We are, however, facing a kind of Third World War that is not a fight to crush our enemies but a conscription marshaling the children of God to care more about each other and to help heal the wounds we find in a conflicted world. The Great Depression we now face has less to do with the external loss of our savings and more to do with the internal loss of our self-confidence, with real deficits of faith and hope and charity all around us." .
and in giving examples of deficits of righteousness in the world, he adds
"In matters of covenantal purity, the sacred is too often being made common and the holy is too often being made profane" like the examples in Daniel

@sharlenewardrop6249منذ 3 سنوات I feel the reason we shouldn’t worry or fear the second coming is because Jesus Christ will protect the faithful.
Example: Joseph smith prophesied and predicted 30 years before the Civil war. But how were the saints protected during the Civil war? The lord told the saints to move west. We were the only place (Utah Territory) during the Civil war that didn’t have to deal with shooting and killing each other. On the other hand, every family in the north and south lost at least one member in the household if not many. ....وسعت 2

Dawn, my wife-to-be, id="hidden13" class="buttons"> commented on how during the Kuwait War, due to the burning of the oil fields, the smoke made the sun in the sky look blood red, and it was shown worldwide through the news media. ....وسعت

@jfowler6030منذ 3 سنوات When the pandemic started, I kept feeling the prompting that Daniel 12 had something to do with it, even though I didn't really know what Daniel 12 id="hidden14" class="buttons"> said. So I started to study it, and it occured to me that Daniel was using common language about the temple of their time to refer to those in our time. On March 25th I told my brother I believed the temples would be shut down, referencing Daniel 12:11, which would start a countdown (not to the 2nd coming, to the abomination of desolation). That evening the announcement went out that they were all shut down. In the first Abomination of Desolation Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated the temple in Jerusalem. I can't 100% say we are counting down to the latter day desolation or that it will be in a temple(s), but I feel it is important to know that if it does happen it is scriptural prophecy and not a sign of God's church weakening.
