Tripon - Memories

Finally seeing the light of day after a good while of sitting in my files collecting dust, Memories comes through as a surprise from yours truly. First time I make truly soft music, and I think that's blatantly obvious with how cheesy it is. Either way, this song is actually pretty special to me. During the production I was hit by a sudden wave of nostalgia from April of 2012 when I first got into the fandom, watching the season 2 finale as my introduction to pony. The melody in this song reminded me of all that wonder and happiness and everything that happened during that year, and Cadance was the pretty pink pony princess that constantly came to my mind whenever I was working on this. It's a doozy, the gritty reese design combined with the piano and rolling breaks in an attempt to make something that's melodic and beautiful compared to my usual dark vibes. Not something you'd expect to be related to Cadance at all. That's why this song is a special one. I'm not trying to tell a story nor am I trying to make it about pony. It's about me and a point in my life that simply happens to include ponies.
