Hi Guys, it's Pamela. Here's my latest Bloom recipe which works well for swiping and stretching. If you are wanting to make the actually flower looking Blooms.... you may want to add more varnish to the pouring medium to thin out a bit..... Everyone has a different recipe and you can achieve cells without silicone if you understand the density of the paints you are using. It just takes practice..... LOTS OF PRACTICE!
Recipe:
pouring medium
1/2 part Minwax poly shown in video, 1/2 part Jo Sonja Gloss Varnish
2 part Behr Gloss base shown in video
1 part softbody acrylic paint
(you may add a couple of drops of water or more poly to thin or Golden's Wetting Agent)
pillow or base white
Glidden Premium base 1 white (indoor) shown in video- 4 cups
Gac 800 1 TBLs.
1 TBLs. distilled water
cell activator
1 t. Amsterdam white (I've tried Lukas Studio also)
1/2 t. GlueAll by Elmers
1 drop Minwax Wood Conditioner (optional)
3 t. American Floetrol
drops of water to consistency
