Guardian of the First Ones Raid Guide - Sanctum of Domination Boss Guide

Guardian of the First Ones Normal and Guardian of the First Ones Heroic guide! Guardian of the First Ones is a raid boss in the Sanctum of Domination raid of Shadowlands. This Guardian of the First Ones boss guide will show you the Guardian of the First Ones abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Guardian of the First Ones fight. Mythic Guardian of the First Ones has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Guardian of the First Ones guide. Footage of Guardian of the First Ones for this boss guide is from PTR raid testing and some mechanics may look different or change when the Sanctum of Domination raid releases on live servers starting July 6th. The key to Guardian of the First Ones is managing the Guardian energy. It drains passively, and allowing it to remain empty will cause the boss to spam the dangerous Purging Protocol cast. To recharge the boss, you can pull it on top of an Energy Core in the room but watch out- while the boss is on the core, the only safe space to stand is in the shield on top of the core. Stay there until the core begins to Meltdown and then run away and use some healer cooldowns to survive the blast. Aside from that, move out of Disintegration beams, spread out with Threat Neutralization rings and stack on the Obliterate tank (on Heroic). Stay clear of the Sunder tank (or just the current tank on Normal) so that you don't get clipped by the debuff, which is applied in a 6 yard AOE.
