Usually during month of January, Bengali’s worship goddess of knowledge and learning, ‘Saraswati’. In Kolkata a large number of Saraswati idols are crafted in Kumartuli, a famous place for clay idol making in North Kolkata. There are a large number of artisans with their unique style of crafting the idols in Kumartuli. I have shown the idol crafting work of some artisans in my video.
