Water is excreted out of the body through:
Breathing
sweating
and digestion
The recommended water intake for individuals varies based on climate, physical activity, and diet, among other factors, and hydration needs are typically higher in athletes who are more active and produce more sweat.
Typically, lean tissue holds more water than body fat.
athletes who have more muscle mass will carry a higher percentage of water in their bodies
A better rule of thumb for daily water intake that targets more of the individual need is to divide your weight in half to determine the number of ounces of fluid your body needs each day.
