For ages, Singhadwar is witness to peoples’ unending desire, suffering, and accomplishment. Odia drama television series Singha Dwara is based on the life and struggle of Kasturi, the only daughter of a poor theatre artist. On the fateful day of her wedding, she gets to know about the tragic road accident of her husband-to-be. Her poor parents are devastated. In order to save them from the unendurable shock, she requests her friend Shovan, son of village Jamindar Sripati Paikray to pretend as if he is willing to marry Kasturi. Shovan, a bit unprepared for this twist, finally decides to help Kasturi.
