Or you will lose your chats and contacts. - I will change my number on the same device. - Tap continue and then tap continue again on the popup. - Now fill in your country code and new number and tap continue. - Tap "yes' on the popup. - You will then be sent a code to your new number that you will have to put into viber to continue.
