Classical:BTS - Season 2 Episode 6 - Charmian Bulley

Charmian Bulley has been a conductor with the Central Illinois Youth Chorus—formerly the Central Illinois Children's Chorus—since 1985. Under the leadership of her and her fellow conductors, the organization has become highly regarded throughout the state of Illinois and across the Midwest. Along with significant exposure on the road with the Springfield Opera, the choir has joined major touring productions out of Chicago, such as "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” On top of her conducting career, Bulley taught music education in Champaign Unit 4 Schools and served as the Choir Director at Faith United Methodist, each for more than 30 years. She also taught early childhood education classes at Parkland College and has presented workshops to educators throughout Central Illinois.
