My great grand mother and her twin sister around the age of 10 were orphaned id="hidden2" class="buttons"> when their mother and father were drowned in a fjord around Stavanger. Her sister was able to stay with relatives in Stavanger but my great grandmother had to come to America as a house servant with a couple who were friends.
