Edited : for those moron who still don't get logic flaw and defending this, there is still time and many way that Owen can take opportunities to try disarm Ellie's gun but the timing he did on here is just god stupid. You don't want to disarm when someone shout and point the gun directly to defendless victim. And also Owen didn't even try to negotiate by telling his wife is pregnant.

Later: Abby threatens to kill Dina intentionally (not self defense), and Ellie begs Abby not to, telling her that Dina is pregnant. Abby literally then responds “*GOOD*” like a god damn supervillain, and she would have killed Dina if Lev didn’t stop her.
WTF. And we the player are supposed to SYMPATHIZE with Abby? She’s a god damn psychopath! This game is truly ridiculous in trying to make the player like Abby and see Ellie as the villain. ....وسعت 96

He obviously whispered "pregnant."
Now I’m gonna make a separate paragraph on my problem with the game developers. If you want us to be empathetic to the enemy make the characters and her “friends” likeable every time her friends popped up on screen I hated it. Mel being pregnant and going into battle was fucking retarded even for a an apocalyptic and medical soldier standpoint, furthermore her character was the most dumbest and bitchiest of the lot that I really didn’t care for her at all and felt nothing towards her death. Had no idea how she was moving so much when you were with her and killing zombies. Owen was the only character I legitimately liked because he was the only one that had a brain and had empathy for his actions. Manny omg don’t get me started idk why he just annoyed me in general, he was just a dumb character that had to next to zero value to the plot besides helping Abby leave to find Owen on the first day. I swear to god he was just a filler character to make it less awkward. Whenever he was in any cutscene I just kept thinking does he die yet? I’m so done with this pendejo. But I will grant him one thing, He was the only friend of Abby that actually treated Abby like a proper friend. As for the rest of them it barely even felt like they even liked Abby. There was so much constant tension amongst them that it made me feel like they were all fake as fuck to her. Manny was the only genuine friend I believed she had besides Nora. As for Nora yeh I felt like her character overall was fine didn’t really have a problem with her but she really did lack the screen time compared to the rest of the obnoxious so called friends to which I believed she had more potential than the rest especially Mel and manny and had the least character building amongst them. For fun I’ma just put this here but highly unpopular opinion I DID NOT LIKE DINA AT ALL. All I could think about is why the fuck are you here, you were pregnant you knew and you came anyway aight fair. But after you just stayed in the theatre did absolutely fucking nothing but sleep. Then when shit did go down at the confrontation and your well equipped with a gun you fucking charge in to a woman that is built like a fucking unit and start flaying around with a knife not even a stabbing like motion it’s generally like a child waving a magic wand and on top of that your screaming like a fucking retard when you could sneak up on her and stab like you did at the start of the game when u did stealth kill on patrol. With the constant oh you gotta stop Ellie blah don’t come back if your gonna do this blah blah, like it was very apparent that Ellie has ptsd and your little talks ain’t fucking helping her and she even tells you herself that you can’t help her even though you believe it has an effect when in reality it really doesn’t and your the one feeling attacked when you didn’t suffer shit throughout this story.
Don’t get me wrong I loved this game and enjoyed and had my fun. But some of these characters were just so bad it was painful to watch whenever they popped up. Luckily I was enjoying it enough to tolerate it and the game did have its good characters like Jesse, lev, yara, tommy, Joel, etc but as good the game is it does have its issues that most of the communities points out but I believe it is greatly exaggerated onto media.
