Folks, it's time to call it what it was and what Donald Trump and his associates attempted earlier this year was nothing short of a coup. And we got more evidence of that this week with the six point memo put out by a Trump campaign lawyer by the name of John Eastman. And Eastman's memo, six point memo, basically explained how they wanted to take seven states, throw out their electoral college votes, because according to Eastman, there were competing electors for these seven states, which isn't even true. That's not even a thing that happened. But then he would have Mike Pence, you know, basically say these seven states, you don't get your electoral college votes. And then because nobody got to the 270 electoral college votes needed, it would move to the then Republican controlled House of Representatives where each representative would get one vote, therefore making Donald Trump, the next president of the United States. This move would have been illegal as there were no grounds to dismiss any of the electors from these seven states. And even though Pence refused to go along with this plan an attempted coup is still an attempted coup. And that is exactly what Donald Trump, his legal team and his closest associates wanted to happen, folks. There's no denying that at this point. And it drives me wild that people don't understand exactly how close we came to witnessing a real life takeover of the United States government by Donald friggin Trump. This is a big deal, right? This story is not just another, ah, Trump's crazy. No, this is the real deal. This is serious and should be taken seriously and Eastman should be prosecuted for this, for coming up with this plan to essentially overthrow the duly elected government of the United States, which would be the incoming Biden administration at the time. That is what Eastman was attempting to do and Eastman should be prosecuted for it. Along with that, anyone who signed off on this memo, anyone who even agreed with this memo at this point needs to also be prosecuted. These are things that have to happen in order to protect the United States and secure our future as a country. Because what happens if Donald Trump runs for president again and wins? You think he's going to walk away peacefully after four years? No. They've already seen how to launch a failed coup and they would have four years before they'd have to try something like that again. And I have no doubt in my mind at this point that they would try something like that again. It doesn't matter, you know, that he will be term at the time. It didn't matter that he lost the election. They still tried to hold onto it by any means necessary. So yes, this is frightening. Yes, this is serious. And yes, this is criminal. And the fact that Eastman has not yet been charged with any kind of crime related to his little memo here, attempting to overthrow the federal government. Yeah. I'd say that as a gross abuse of justice at this point. Questions need to be answered. Hearings need to be held. Investigations need to be conducted and people need to be thrown in jail up to and possibly even including Donald Trump himself, because there is no doubt left that these people wanted to pull off a coup.
